Alex Calvin interviews Susan Cummings about Tiny Rebel Games on page 27 of the May 27th issue of MCV Magazine

Doctor Who: Legacy is one of those games that just keeps on trucking with regular new bunches of story content and updates. The game is going to be getting a big new version 3.0 update in August, and it's going to bring new weekly content updates alongside Season 9 of the show. But the big original content of 3.0 will be the "Sonic Adventures" story arc, not to be confused with Sonic Adventure, the Sega game that was good but the beginning of the end for the Sonic series. But the "Sonic Adventures" arc in this game will have the First Doctor and a number of companions partnering with him to collect a number of famous gadgets from the long-running series. The Third Doctor's companion, Jo Grant, will be making her debut in this game, too.

"Really, we just needed to point out that this game is still kicking and going, and it's a pretty cool phenomenon. In a world where so many games are disposable and don't get updated when they break, there's the occasional Doctor Who Legacy which keeps adding content quietly on a regular basis."

Doctor Who Legacy Interview: Future plans revealed!

"Just over a year ago, developer Tiny Rebel Games released Doctor Who Legacy, their free-to-play puzzle game based on the long running BBC sci-fi series. The game has become a popular one for iPhone and iPad users and Tiny Rebel have continued to add content to the game, including some stuff from the new Titan Comics series. However, the team isn't stopping and has tons of plans to update Doctor Who Legacy with even more content in the weeks and months ahead."

DOCTOR WHO: LEGACY Game Celebrates Holidays With Titan Comics Themed Surprises

"Doctor Who: Legacy, the free-to-play game full of timey wimey (only on rare days do I get to type that phrase twice) gem-matching stuff, is celebrating the countdown to Christmas with its second annual “Advent Calendar.”

Doctor Who Gets Pixelated For Christmas

This week players of the ridiculously reasonable free-to-play mobile puzzler Doctor Who Legacywill get a Christmastime preview of the pixelated stylings of Nathan Skreslet, whose PixelWho art will play a big part in an upcoming in-game adventure. And Who better to usher in this charming 8-bit look than the charming Eight Doctor?

"If I have to complain about anything is how addicted to the game I am. I play it nightly as a way to relax which is nuts because it can get pretty hectic. There’s always something to do, rather it’s collecting Time Fragments for upgrades or unlocking drops for characters and costumes. The story is compelling and is a great homage to a classic series. The great thing about Doctor Who Legacy is that gamers can play it on Android, iOS or even Facebook. I think the developers deserve a hand for working hard to get this excellent game to as many geeks as possible.

A couple of weeks ago we told you that a special anniversary was imminent, and today Tiny Rebel Games, Seed Studio and BBC Worldwide are proud to announce that Doctor Who: Legacy, the award winning free to play mobile game, which has already surpassed one million installs, is celebrating its one-year anniversary.

Can the BBC get games right this time?

“Mobile has become such a key market, driven by demand and many creative new releases each week,” says Desai. Doctor Who Legacy taught us how important it is to maintain a pipeline of new content to retain existing users and attract new fans."

The Doctor Is In

October 31, 2014

"Legacy is gradually becoming the biggest Doctor Who game of all time. "

August 20, 2014

"Late last year when we were first introduced to Peter Capaldi as the next regeneration of the Doctor we were also introduced to Doctor Who: Legacy, a companion collecting puzzle game from Tiny Rebel Games. It's come quite a long way since then.

Like the popular Puzzle and Dragons, Doctor Who: Legacy is a game about collecting color-coded creatures and using them participate in match-puzzle battles. Unlike Puzzle and Dragons, Doctor Who: Legacy isn't all about paying for rare monsters. There are no ads in the game, just a simple, understated store, politely clearing its throat when you wander over and mentioning that, should you be interested, there are things for sale. It's one of the very best examples of free-to-play."

Why Whovians Adore Doctor Who Legacy

July 1, 2014

"OK, Doctor Who: Legacy is super fun to play. Not gonna talk about that much; the gameplay is simple enough, doesn’t need a lot of explanation. Match rows, build up power, hit the bad guys, advance. But this addictive game is also crammed full of inside jokes, references, heart, and insight, the exactly perfect bait for a Whovian..."

May, 2014

"In our humble opinion, Doctor Who: Legacy is damn-near perfect. Simple-yet-addictive gameplay and strategic RPG elements come together to create arguably the most polished and enjoyable Doctor Who game to date."

Top 5 Android strategy games of May 2014!

May 2014

"Doctor Who: Legacy may look like a typical match-three puzzle game, but it actually involves a great deal of strategy. Updated at the end of April, Legacy now includes a "perks" system that you need to strategically manipulate before each level, making the game a lot more appealing to strategy fans. The update also added a ton of new content and characters. This game has a steep level of difficulty, giving it immense replay value. This game will appeal to gamers who like the strategic thrill of building and testing their teams."

Doctor Who: Legacy Review 9/10

April 23, 2014

Doctor Who: Legacy is the best mobile game ever made.  There, I said it. I own quite the collection of mobile games. Some are bad, some are good. Star Command is an amazing game. So is Plague Inc. Vector. BADLAND. Lyne. But none of them match Doctor Who: Legacy. "

AI: Doctor Who: Legacy Version 2.0 Review

April 20, 2014

"The great thing about Doctor Who: Legacy and one of the big reasons why it’s more appealing to me than previous Doctor Who tie-ins is that this game respects all eras of the show and it’s clear that the developers are huge fans themselves. Most of all however, Doctor Who: Legacy not only respects the show but also the show’s fans. A vast majority of the updates to the game have been influenced by fan opinion or suggestion and I’ve never before seen a game that is so active on social media, enabling the developers to connect directly with the players and keep their fingers on the pulse."Also, check out their interview with Tiny Rebel Games!

"...For the past couple of months, an iOS game has become a daily part of my life.  It's a free-to-play puzzle game that doesn't feel like the sort of game that Nintendo's Satoru Iwata recently referred to as a "free-to-start" title; one where players are forced to spend money to proceed."

"Overall, Legacy is far from a sandbox game, but it's essentially a big sand pit to muck around with your favourite Who characters from your favourite episodes in clever and enjoyable puzzles."

"Doctor Who: Legacy is a fun and well-designed game that I heartily recommend. The game is balanced enough that it works should you want just a quick hit or to dedicate more time to it, while unlike most app games it isn’t actively trying to trip you up so you have no choice but to part with cash or annoy friends to continue playing."

June 5, 2014

"The Doctor Who fan in me is consistently amazed by the game’s arsenal of characters and levels inspired by the show. No other game has managed to capture so much of the Doctor Who universe in a single package, with callbacks to both the classic and modern eras. Tiny Rebel knows and appreciates Who. That genuine reverence makes Legacy a must-play for fans of the show."

Has your favorite Whovian had a little less time for you lately? There might be a reason.
